Performance Adidas Eyewear

Adidas eyewear is just one example of the Adidas brand conceptualized by Adi Dassler in 1948, using a combination of the first two syllables of his first and last names. For Adi Dassler, his passion began when he made his first shoe from whatever materials that was available to him after the First World War in 1920. In 1949, Adi Dassler registered the 3 stripes Adidas logo as a trademark which from then on grew to be a logo that was synonymous with Adidas products internationally. Adi Dassler’s aim when he founded Adidas was to provide every athlete with the best possible sports equipment. His quest for perfection has driven him to continuously work on quality and improvements. It is no doubt then that he has 700 patents and industrial property rights worldwide to his name. Today, Adidas has far grown from just a shoes designer and manufacturer, but offers products ranging from shoes, apparel and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure trail and golf.

Adi Dassler was also the first in his industry to engage well-known athletes to endorse his products. This was a promotional effort with the intent to create public awareness of the innovations of Adidas. Among the famous athletes engaged were Jesse Owens, Muhammad Ali, Max Schmeling, Sepp Herberger and Franz Beckenbauer. This practice is still implemented today where the FIFA World Players, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Raúl, Michael Ballack, Kaka and Rui Costa all endorse Adidas.
