Fashionable Bisou-Bisou Eyewear

The brand of Bisou-Bisou eyewear, from the French for "Little Kiss", was birthed by Michele and Marc Bohbot, who went to Los Angeles in 1987 with a purpose to develop a woman’s sportswear apparel company. With the French flair that Michele put into her designs, Bisou-bisou boasted of something that was new to the American market. Armed with inspiration, talent, ambition and partnership with one another, the Bohbots were determined to develop an apparel business that will excel in the American fashion market. Their latest True Meaning women’s fashion label launched in 2002, was inspired by Michele’s love and involvement in Yoga and her lifestyle reflections in family life, travel and career, all in the context of living the American Dream.

Michele Bohbot has a string of accomplishments within the fashion industry, having being awarded the Dallas Fashion award in 2001 as the Best Contemporary Designer, as well as honored as one of the The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World award in Paris. All of this truly brings value and credibility to the Bisou Bisou brand.

In September 2004, Bisou-bisou went into an Optical Licensing Agreement with US Vision, a leading retailer of optical products in the US, to allow US Vision to design, manufacture and distribute the Bisou-Bisou brand of eyewear. The strength of US Vision lies in their retail optical outlets located in national department stores with currently 557 locations across America, and also as the primary optical licensee inside JCPenny stores across the country. With this agreement, Bisou-bisou will provide the theme of the Bisou-Bisou eyewear designs as well as the direction of the range of designs, while the rest of the development process is the responsibility of US Vision.

This collaboration has spearheaded a synergy of quality frame designs with a brand name that reflects the future of fashion to eyeglasses that are great accessory matches for the Bisou-bisou style of apparel. Bisou-bisou eyeglasses are sleek and come in soft colors with artistic temple prints and adding a flavor of France, with a focus on creating a fashion statement for the female eyeglass wearer.
