Coach eyewear is part of a brand developed by a family who ran a handcrafting leather workshop in Manhattan more than 50 years ago. At this time, six artisans were employed to produce leather goods of high quality by utilizing traditional handcrafting skills. News of their emphasis on quality got around, and soon dedicated customers kept returning to the Coach workshop to acquire their leather hand-made products. The name Coach had been spawned by one of the founders, when he noticed that a baseball glove had become supple through regular use. With this, he was inspired to create leather products that were stronger and thus his first leather handbag was created. Since then, Coach never turned back and continued to grow with new leather product designs of different colors but with the same stringent emphasis on workmanship quality.

Handbags have always been Coach’s primary focus, and starting with just 12 handbag designs over 40 years ago, it has now grown to a broad variety of styles, shapes, sizes, pockets and straps. All designs follow the classic American look, and functionality is always balanced with design through the use of double-stitched seams for added reinforcements. Additionally, leather material selection at Coach is carefully scrutinized, with only 10% of the best quality leather picked to be used to produce Coach leather products. Furthermore, Coach utilizes a slow leather curing method to ensure that only natural leather grain appear on the surface of the material.

Coach eyewear for women is intended to create the perfect outlook for the sunglass wearer, with creative designs consisting of plastic oval shaped thick frames, butterfly shaped frames, square plastic frames and metal frame sunglasses. All Coach eyeglasses come with tinted gradient lenses with 100% UV protection, with the Coach logo featured on both sides of the temples. Coach eye wear for men on the other hand, are designed as parallel male versions for some of the female eyewear designs. These sunglasses consist of the same features as the ones for women, but are altered to suit a larger and masculine face shape.
